Huncote Mixed 1 vs Croakers Mixed 1 Sunday 10th January On Sunday, Croakers' Mixed 1 team lost 2-7 against Huncote Mixed 1 and now face an uphill struggle to stay in division 4. Both Kate & Jed and Ayesha & Henri won a rubber each. Jing & Lee were unable to win a rubber, but went close on two of them. According to the league tables on the LBA website, the Mixed 1 team's closest relegation rival is Huncote. After this result, Mixed 1 will be hoping other teams in the division can do them a favour. The next and last match of a challenging season is the return fixture against Huncote on 22nd February. With home court advantage, Mixed 1 will be aiming to beat Huncote by a better scoreline. After that, the team's future is in the lap of the gods. Croakers Mixed 2 vs South Leicestershire Mixed 4
Monday 11th January The outlook is far rosier for Croakers' Mixed 2 team. On Monday, they won 7-2 against South Leicestershire Mixed 4, making it four wins from four. Ayesha & Henri won all three rubbers along with Carole & David, with Claire & Raheel winning one rubber. Only two of the rubbers went to three games, indicating that this wasn't as close as the team were expecting. Henri, the team captain, said, “Pleased with the results, with four wins out of four.
