Season starts in earnest

​The new season is now well underway and a number of matches have taken place over the last couple of weeks. Let's read the match reports.

​Mixed - Croakers 1 vs Croakers 2
Monday 5th & Thursday 15th October
​
The first two matches for Croakers’ two mixed teams were against each other. The Mixed 2 team emerged victorious with an aggregate score of 14-4. Best of luck to both mixed teams in a competitive division.

The next match for Mixed 1 is against Longslade Stoneygate Mixed 4 on Monday 2nd November. The next match for Mixed 2 is against Huncote Mixed 1 on Sunday 15th November.

New Hall – Meltonshire 2 vs Croakers
Friday 9th October

For the first match of the new season, Croakers’ New Hall team was gifted a 20-0 victory against Meltonshire New Hall 2. The match was conceded by Meltonshire earlier in the day, therefore giving Croakers maximum points. These could be valuable points in what will be a challenging season in division 2.

The next match is against Loughborough Leys New Hall 1 on Friday 23rd October.

Mens - Croakers 2 vs Huncote 3
Monday 12th October

On Monday last week, our Mens 2 team made an excellent start to the new season, securing a 6-3 victory against Huncote Mens 3 in division 6b.

It was a hard fought night for Trevor & Kam. After losing the first two rubbers, taking the opposition to three games each time, Trevor & Kam persevered and won the final rubber. The two other pairs did well too – Jed & Sam won two rubbers and Joel & Henri won all three.

The next match is against Loughborough Tech Mens 2 on Monday 26th October.
